Sherfey Farm House located at the corner of
Hairetown and
Bugaboo Springs Roads in Jonesboro, Tennessee
NOTE: This photo was taken in July 1999 while at the Archer Reunion. The Archer farm is about 1500 feet to the rear of the Sherfey farm house.
The last Sherfey died and the farm was sold. A Golf Course was to be built on the property. The farm house was unoccupied and was scheduled for demolition.
Not seen in the photo, to the far left were the bulldozers ready to clear the land.
I visited the farm the next year and the home was still there. It is unknown what was done about saving the farm house.
There are several Sherfey families still living on Hairetown Road near the farm. (to the right of the photo)
