My family ties into Lucille Driver's book about James Driver (b. abt 1740, d. 4-14-1810 in Washington Co, PA). The "old family story" says the Drivers came from Wales - three brothers - two went south and one north. A fourth stayed in Wales and was hung as the proverbial horse thief. There was a Driver paradox in the Civil War, this family line was involved in the Underground Railroad in Ohio and the southern branches probably had slaves.
