Civil War Web Sites

Going through these links about the Civil War will teach you about the military battles, the major figures of American military history and each states' roles in the Civil War.

Almost every state involved has a website dedicated to their military participation.

You'll also find resources that allow you to see some actual documents of the war, including military loans, supplies orders, soldier diaries, letters home and more.

If you're interested in visiting any of the major battlefields, there is a section dedicated to the military battlefields that have become National Parks.

If you are an Archer relative, you may be particularly interested in the information gathered about the Archers Brigade.

Lastly, if you are looking for information regarding Reenactments, towards the bottom of the page you will find many resources about the different groups and associations including places to buy or get military Reenactor uniforms on loan.
