copy of the record which is correct as stated. However, the Jackson Co., WV Marriage
Records (Vol 3, p. 101) show that she was born in Monroe Co., OH and was 16 years old when she married John J. Gault on 16 Aug 1883 at her father's house
in Jackson Co., WV. However the information about her was provided by a Thomas Hughes, the husband of Catherine's sister, Cornelia Ann.
There seems
to be no other evidence that Catherine's parents John McGarry Archer and Matilda Archer were ever in Indiana.
